Knowles Precision Devices Safety-Certified MLCC
Our partners from Syfer, a Knowles Precision Devices, offer a wide range of safety capacitors. All MLCC in this range comply with international regulations (i.e. UL / cUL and IEC/EN specifications) to offer engineers the possibility to use SMD ceramic multilayer capacitors and replace leaded film types.
 
Knowles have also introduced a special line of AEC-Q200 qualified safety capacitors to open up options in the automotive sector.
 
The unique selling point of Knowles' safety certified MLCC over competitors is that all ranges have a safety-certified DC voltage rating and are certified as humidity robustness grade III, which is unique in the industry.

Apart from that the solutions from Knowles generally offer reduced board space required and lower profile. They now also feature a new design for better pick-and-place assembly. Furthermore all capacitors are available in FlexiCap™ version to reduce the risk of mechanical cracking.

Thanks to the expertise of the design teams in the field of high voltage allows them to of the reach the highest capacitance ranges in the market for selected case sizes.
 
Guaranteed 4mm creepage class Y2/X1 safety capacitors that feature a humidity robustness grade III rating and have a 5kV impulse and a 1kVdc rating approved by TUV and UL.
 
SYS series – Y2 (250Vac)/X1 (305Vac)
These are class X1/Y2 safety capacitors that have a humidity robustness grade III rating and 5kV impulse and a 1kVdc rating approved by TUV and UL
 
S3X series – X2 (305Vac)
Offers class 305Vac X2 safety capacitors including a humidity robustness grade III rating and 2.5kV impulse and a 1kVdc rating approved by TUV, UL, and CQC.
 
S2X series – X2 (250Vac)
Class X2 250Vac safety capacitors with a humidity robustness grade III rating and 2.5kV impulse and a 1kVdc rating approved by TUV, UL, and CQC.
