Inmet Powerfilm Chip Terminations

Inmet Powerfilm Chip Terminations
Powerfilm chip terminations from Inmet by Spectrum Control put complete control over the performance of resistors and terminations in your circuit at your fingertips. They are designed to meet the ever-increasing demands for high frequency and high power.

The main function of these surface-mount resistive components is RF power dissipation in terminations and isolators. For that reason they are often found in Integrated Microwave Assemblies, Test and Measurement Equipment and Space applications such as GPS III and NISAR-ISRO. The TaN versions also see an increasing demand for RFIC- and CMOS applications.

Powerfilm chip terminations and resistors come in standard values of 50 and 100 ohm. They can be freely configured because of a wide selection of sizes and various solder, silver or gold finish options. 75 Ohm terminations for Broadcast applications and other designs, values and options are available upon request.

In terms of wrapping options, Inmet by Spectrum Control offers 2 possibilities for their chip terminations of which we have placed pictures at the bottom of the page. One of them is 'G', this wrapping is a full metalized backplane to transfer heat (heatsink mount) which is the go-to choice for high-power applications. The other wrap 'Z' is the better option for ease of installation thanks to surface-mount compatibility.
